India vs Australia: Indian talisman Virat Kohli did not find it easy in his much-hyped return to international Cricket as he fell to an eight-ball duck (0) against Australia in the first ODI at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Sensing the bounce in the track, Australia won the toss and invited India to bat first on an overcast day.
It all happened in the sixth over as Mitchell Starc got him driving on the up and Kohli got a thick outside edge which flew to Cooper Connolly at point as he took a good catch to his left. Kohli, sensing his error, walked off the field instantly. He was the 2nd wicket to fall. Check out the video here:

Interestingly, Starc became the second bowler, post James Anderson, to get Virat Kohli out for a duck on two instances across all Internationals.

Rohit Sharma Fell Cheaply Too
Before Kohli, Rohit Sharma's eagerly awaited return to international cricket was short-lived, as he was dismissed for eight runs by Josh Hazlewood.
Rohit, making his 500th international appearance for India, was removed by Hazlewood after edging the ball towards second slip, which was grabbed by the debutant Matthew Renshaw.
India Tottering At 37/3 (11.5)
On a tricky surface at the Optus, India have been reduced to 37/3 at 11.5 overs. Rohit, Kohli and captain Shubman Gill are back in the pavilion with Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel are in the middle.
Earlier in the match, Australia had won the toss and opted to bowl first against India in the first ODI in Perth on Sunday at the Optus Stadium.
