India have defeated Bangladesh by 41 runs in match 16 and have qualified for the final of the ongoing tournament. This is their fifth successive win in the Asia Cup 2025. They have bowled Bangladesh out for 127 in 19.3 overs.

An excellent over from Tanzim. Just three off the over. This pitch has extra bounce in the surface as it was evident from the first over. Nasum Ahmed to bowl the second over.

It is a completely different surface which has even covering of grass. One can expect it to be a belter to bat on. With breeze coming in, dew will be much less than it is normally used to be.

Bangladesh's best chance is to make India bat first and expect that Mustafizur Rahman, at the death, and the two spinners -- leg-break bowler Rishad Hossain and off-spinner Mahedi Hasan -- choke the run-flow in the middle overs to make a game out of it.

We are just moments away from the toss. The team winning the toss, is likely to choose to bowl first considering the dew factor. 

If one compares to their Bangladesh counterparts, skipper Litton Das (129 plus) and Towhid Hridoy (SR 124 plus) have mediocre numbers to show for their efforts.

In the Indian team, Abhishek Sharma, who is in the form of his life, is scoring runs at a strike rate of nearly 210, while Shubman Gill has made an excellent use of his opportunity, notching up to nearly 158 strike rate after the last Pakistan game.

On paper, Bangladesh does not stand a strong chance against India. T20Is aren't even Bangladesh's strength and if all goes well, it could be another thumping win for Suryakumar Yadav's men.

The terms have been bitter from Bangladesh's end since the 2015 ODI World Cup and a benefit of doubt life to Rohit Sharma at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It has also given a chance to partisan young fans from Bangladesh, many of whom perceive India as an adversary.

In terms of statistics, this is supposed to be another lopsided one as Bangladesh have won only once in 17 head-to-head encounters between the two teams in the T20 format.
