IND vs NZ, ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: Rohit Sharma-led Indian team has arrived in Dharamsala on Friday ahead of their ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match against New Zealand at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium. Both teams are unbeaten in the competition and the winner of the match will take the pinnacle spot in the standings.

Star players Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav were seen taking the team bus from the Kangra airport to reach their hotel.

Currently, New Zealand are at the top spot with four wins in as many matches while India with a similar result occupy the second spot due to the former's better net run rate.

India will be without their star all-rounder Hardik Pandya for the clash as he sustained an injury on his right ankle during the match against Bangladesh in Pune on Thursday. India outclassed Bangladesh by seven wickets to clinch their fourth consecutive win of the tournament.

Pandya will be under the supervision of the BCCI Medical Team and will rejoin the team directly in Lucknow for India's match against England.

In their previous match against Bangladesh, Virat Kohli's remarkable unbeaten century took center stage while Shubman Gill struck a half-century to steer India to a comfortable win in Pune.

On the other hand, New Zealand started their campaign with a win over defending champions England followed by Netherlands, Bangladesh and Afghanistan respectively.

India skipper Rohit Sharma lauded his teammates for contributing to the team's cause after the win over Bangladesh.

"It was a good win, something we were looking forward to. We didn't start well, but the guys pulled it back in the middle-overs and at the back-end. Our fielding has been superb in all these matches, it's something that's in your control, you can put in your best effort," he said.

"The bowlers were smart to understand what lengths to bowl. Jaddu was brilliant with the ball and the catch, but you can't beat a hundred. We're doing well as a group, a medal for all performances in the playing field and that's something which motivates everyone to do well," Rohit added.
