India vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2025: Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav played the captain's knock as India beat Pakistan in the crucial Asia Cup encounter on Wednesday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Addressing the post-match presentation, Suryakumar dedicated the win to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives in April, earlier this year.

"Perfect occasion, taking the time out, we stand by the victims of the families of Pahalgam terror attack. We express our solidarity. Want to dedicate the win to all our armed forces who showed a lot of bravery. Hope they continue to inspire us all and we give them more reasons on the ground whenever we get an opportunity to make them smile," Suryakumar said.

No handshakes between India and Pakistan players:

Despite calls for boycotting the match from certain quarters as a mark of protest for the Pahalgam terror attack in April, a near full-capacity crowd dominated by 85 percent Indian fans witnessed a clinical decimation of Pakistan -- one ball at a time.
