In India's massive 106-run win against South Africa in the third T20I, captain Suryakumar Yadav suffered an ankle injury while fielding and had to sit out for most of the second innings. Suryakumar's scintilating century off 56 balls studded with eight sixes and seven fours along with Yashasvi Jaiswal's 60 guided India to 201/7 after being asked to bat first.
In reply, Kuldeep Yadav grabbed five wickets in 17 balls to wind up South Africa innings to 95 in 13.5 overs. Ravindra Jadeja also picked two scalps.
Suryakumar hurt his ankle as he got off balance while trying to throw the ball after stopping the four hit by Reeza Hendricks off Mohammed Siraj's third over.

The skipper was carried off the field with the help of Indian support staff and physio minutes after treating him on the sidelines. It appeared that he hurt his ankle and did not participate in the remainder of the match. In his absence, Jadeja donned the captain's hat and smartly utilised his bowlers including himself to level the series 1-1 after rain washed out the opening match in Durban.
Updating on his ankle injury, Suryakumar said he can walk and it is not looking serious.
"I am good. I am able to walk so it is not looking that serious," he said after the match.

He went on to laud birthday boy Kuldeep, who bowled to the stumps line and grabbed three wickets on bowled.
"It was wonderful scoring a hundred, and especially when it comes in a winning cause. One box we wanted to tick was play fearless brand of cricket. Really happy the boys showed a lot of character. Kuldeep is never happy with a three-for or a four-for. A perfect self birthday present," Suryakumar said.
India will now play the three-match ODI series against South Africa, starting on Sunday, December 17.
