IND vs UAE Asia Cup 2025: The Suryakumar Yadav-led side had a flying start to their Asia Cup campaign. All-rounder Shivam Dube's brilliant performance against the UAE had laid the foundation for India's huge win, and what happened in the dressing room post that was equally entertaining.

Morne Morkel, who is the bowling coach of the Indian cricket team, has always come out in support of Dube as an all-rounder and was also seen giving the Impact Player medal. He registered brilliant figures of 3/4, and that's why he won the award, which was followed by lots of banter. The BCCI had shared a video on their official social media account, where his fellow teammates were seen laughing and asking him to either give a speech or a dance performance, where Dube tried to take the jokes in a positive stride.

Speaking of the match, Dube's bowling prowess had come immediately after Kuldeep Yadav's heroics, who made a brilliant comeback to the national side after getting snubbed from India's Test series against England. He was at his absolute best as he took a four-fer and rattled the host's batting attack, where he took three wickets in his first over itself. Both Dube and Kuldeep helped the side skittle the UAE for just 57 runs in 13.1 overs, where the Indian gave their batters a hard time constantly.

Dube's rise as an all-rounder has been one of the highlights of the Indian team before this tournament. Morkel had emphasised that Dube can bowl four overs, and his performance against the hosts was proof of that.

In reply, India had a flying start. Abhishek Sharma had laid the foundation by smashing continuous fours, whereas Shubman Gill batted calmly from the other end, and a gritty knock from captain Suryakumar helped the team win the match. They chased the target in 4.3 overs and registered their fastest successful chase in this format.
