IND vs WI, 2nd Test LIVE SCORE: Ex-India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar left ex-West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop surprised by making an observation which had left the ex-bowler tongue-tied. Since there were a lot of bouncers being bowled during the first innings of the ongoing match against West Indies, Gavaskar had asked Bishop as to why there was a lack of bouncers being bowled by the West Indies bowlers.
“It’s been six overs with the new ball and not a single bouncer from the West Indies pacers. What is happening, Ian?" Gavaskar was heard as saying on air.
“What happened to the West Indies pace attack?" he said.
Bishop was left speechless, and another commentator had to interfere by making a witty comment.
“He’s in the commentary box, it’s a bit tough to bowl a bounce from here," Bhogle said.
Bishop then tried to come back with a comment and said that Jayden Seales will soon be bowling that delivery that Gavaskar wants.
“I’m sure we will see one from the likes of Seales, " he added.
India captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bat first as Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul came out to open for the hosts.
They stitched a partnership of 58 runs, but Rahul was dismissed by Jomel Warrican after scoring 38 runs. Sai Sudharsan was the new batter and stitched another partnership with Jaiswal, and helped the team score 94/1 at lunch.
The hosts are leading the series by 1-0 after winning the series opener by an innings and 140 runs last week in Ahmedabad.
