IND vs WI, 2nd Test LIVE SCORE: India's star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has achieved the milestone of scoring 300 international runs. He did so in the second Test match against West Indies in New Delhi on Friday.

Speaking of the game, India skipper Shubman Gill had won the toss and opted to bat first. Jaiswal and Rahul opened the innings for the hosts, where they built a partnership of 58 runs for the first wicket before KL Rahul got out.

Impressive Stats at just 23

Jaiswal, who made his international debut way back in 2023, has become one of India's upcoming talents. His ability to perform calmly and consistently in the longest format helped him become the fans' favorite.

At just 23 years old, his performance in the longest format is brilliant. He has played in 25 Test matches till now and has scored 2245 runs at a staggering average of 49.88 and at a strike rate of 66.22. His aggressive batting has helped him become a regular player in India's Test squad.

He has featured in just 1 ODI, where he scored 15 runs. In T20Is, he had scored 723 runs after playing in 23 matches at an average of 36.15 and at a strike rate of 164.31.

Joins an elite list of left-handed Indian openers

By achieving this milestone, Jaiswal had become the 4th Indian left-handed opener to have scored 3000 or more international runs and joined an elite list of players like Sourav Ganguly, Gautam Gambhir, and Shikhar Dhawan.

Irrespective of his sublime form, he wasn't a part of India's Asia Cup-winning team. He also isn't part of India's team for the white-ball series against Australia. This decision did surprise a few fans.
