IND vs WI: Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir hosted a team dinner at his Delhi residence for the Men in Blue before the 2nd Test match against West Indies. The second Test match will be held in New Delhi later this week.

As per ANI, Gambhir had planned to invite the whole team for a team dinner at his residence on Wednesday. According to the report, Gambhir had planned the dinner in the garden area, but if it rains in Delhi, he might have to cancel this plan.

It's the first time that Gambhir will be hosting the team dinner at his own house after becoming the head coach. Gambhir and the coaching staff entered this series on the back of winning the Asia Cup, where a few of the Test players were also a part of that side. Shubman Gill was the vice-captain, whereas Kuldeep Yadav was their star performer, and Aar and Jasprit Bumrah also played huge roles.

Major changes in ODI setup

Gamhir also helped the team win the ICC Champions Trophy under Rohit Sharma's leadership. The BCCI had revealed India's ODI series against Australia, where Rohit Sharma was replaced as the skipper and Shubman Gill will replace him, along with Shreyas Iyer as the vice-captain. Rohit is a part of the team along with star batter Virat Kohli.

Rohit's removal as the skipper resulted in a debate both by fans and experts since the team management wants Gill to become an all-format skipper. At the same time, both Rohit and Kohli might have to prove their worth so that they can get selected for India's 2027 World Cup team.
