IND vs AUS 1st ODI: Australia skipper Mitchell Marsh is preparing for the three-match ODI series against India with mixed emotions- as he is excited for the clash but also hopes that star India batters Virat and Rohit don't perform that well. This series might be the last time they will be playing in Australia, and that's why this series is more important both for the fans and the players.

In the pre-match press conference, Marsh talked about his experiences of playing against Kohli and Rohit in his career and how this series will give a chance to the fans to watch two of the greatest cricketers in this format live. The first ODI in Perth is already sold out.

“I had the privilege of playing against them quite a lot over the journey. They are obviously legends of the game. Virat, especially in this white-ball format, is the greatest chaser ever. I think you can see why the ticket sales are so high and why a lot of people are coming to watch them. And if it is their last time on Australian soil, I hope they enjoy it and I hope people can witness, not too much great cricket from them, but witness two of the greats playing in Australia,” Marsh told reporters in the pre-match press conference.

As per Cricket Australia, about 1,75,000 tickets have been sold out for this three-match series, and that shows how interested the fans are in watching this duo live in the 50-over format. Both these players had a good practice session in Perth, which showed they are ready for their comebacks.

Marsh, who will be leading the host skipper Pat Cummins' absence, is looking forward to this series. Both Rohit and Kohli have retired from the longest format and T20Is and will now play in just ODIs as they want to play till the 2027 ODI World Cup, which will make all their matches special for the fans.
