IND vs AUS: India's vice-captain for the three-match ODI series against Australia, Shreyas Iyer, needs to score 155 runs to achieve the milestone of scoring 3000 runs and is just 240 runs away from scoring 5000 international runs. He has played in 70 ODI matches till now and has scored 2845 runs at a staggering average of 48.22. He has smashed six hundred and 22 fifties, where his highest individual score was 128, and at a strike rate of 100.00.

He also led IPL franchise Punjab Kings to their first IPL final after 10 years with the help of his brilliant captaincy and consistent batting performances, but was one of the notable omissions from India's Asia Cup teams, and that's why the selectors faced lots of criticism from both fans and former cricketers.

He was also India's highest run-scorer in the Champions Trophy 2025 as he scored 243 runs after playing in five matches at a staggering average of 48.60, which includes two half-centuries, and his highest individual score was 79. He thus played a huge role in helping the team win the title.

He was also the sixth-highest run-scorer in IPL 2025 as he scored 604 runs after playing in 17 matches and at an average of 50.33, a strike rate of 175.07, and six half-centuries. His highest individual score was 97 runs.

After the 2024 T20 World Cup, he has played in 26 T20 matches and has scored 949 runs at an average of 49.94 and a strike rate of 179.73, which includes seven half-centuries. His highest individual score is 130 runs. He last played for India in this format in 2023, where he had scored a fifty.
