India vs Pakistan Final, Asia Cup 2025: Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav got the clean chit as he pleaded 'not guilty' to the International Cricket Council after the Pakistan Cricket Board came up with a complaint after he dedicated the team's win over the arch-rivals to the victims of the Pahalgam Terror Attack.

After India's win over the Men in Green in the group A clash, Suryakumar and his teammates also avoided the customary handshake. The skipper acknowledged the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor. The final verdict is expected to come out on Friday.

The recent development has come ahead of the India vs Pakistan final. Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 11 runs in the Super Fours to reach the summit clash, where they will be looking to complete their revenge against the Men in Blue. The will be the first time in the history of the Asia Cup that India and Pakistan will face off in the final.

"If you win these kinds of games, then we must be a special team. Everyone played really well. There is some improvement needed in batting. But we will work on that. Shaheen is a special player. He does what the team needs from him. Very happy for him. We were 15 runs short. The way we bowled up front, we will create pressure. We bowled well with the new ball. More often than not, you will win games if you bowl like this. We have been fielding well," Pakistan skipper Salman Agha said in the post-match presentation.

On the other hand, BCCI also expressed their displeasure and complained about on-field gestures by Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan and pacer Haris Rauf during the September 21 clash.

On Sunday, Farhan celebrated his fifty in the Super 4s against India with a ‘gun gesture’ using his bat, while Rauf was spotted signalling to fans from the boundary. The senior pacer Rauf was involved in a verbal exchange with India vice-captain Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma as well. However, the Indian team ended up winning that match as well by six wickets.

These Asia Cup encounters mark the first India-Pakistan clashes since the Pahalgam terror attack in April, which was followed by the Operation Sindoor carried out by the Indian Armed Forces.

In both their Asia Cup games, skippers Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Agha refrained from shaking hands before the toss.

"Perfect occasion, taking the time out, we stand by the victims of the families of the Pahalgam terror attack. We express our solidarity. Want to dedicate the win to all our armed forces who showed a lot of bravery," Suryakumar had said.
