India National Cricket Team vs South Africa National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and opted to bat first against hosts India in their second and last match of the series at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday.

With Shubman Gill ruled out, Rishabh Pant is captaining the team against the WTC Champions, led by Temba Bavuma. The Proteas will be without Kagiso Rabada.

Gill was ruled out of the second Test against South Africa in Guwahati, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) releasing him from the squad on Friday.

India have ringed in two changes with Nitish Kumar Reddy and Sai Sudharsan included in the playing XI in place of Axar Patel and Shubman Gill.

Speaking at the time of toss, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma said, " We'll have a bat. We've got to start afresh. Wicket looks a lot better. Bat first, try to get a big score first up. No cracks (on the pitch), really. Very excited, happy to be a part of this historic moment. One change. Muthusamy comes in."

India captain Rishabh Pant, who became the 38th Test skipper, said, "A proud moment, I am thankful to the BCCI for giving me this opportunity. You want to grab it with both hands. Two changes. Nitish Reddy and Sai come in."
