IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025 Final: The controversy about the ongoing tournament doesn't seem to die down. One day before the summit clash, the captains of both teams, Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha, didn't participate in the trophy photoshoot. It has only intensified the rivalry after the handshake row, which had become the main highlight of this event.
As per Geo News, there was no traditional captain's photo shoot being held ahead of the summit clash. This event was supposed to be held on Saturday, but India didn't participate in it.
According to the report, the Indian contingent also didn't attend the pre-match press conference and gave the age-old tradition of attending the pre-match press conference a miss.

But Salman Ali Agha did attend the pre-match press conference and answered all the questions about the controversies.
“Every individual has the right to express emotions. If we stop a fast bowler from showing emotions, what’s left then? I won’t stop anyone as long as it is not disrespectful," Agha told reporters during the pre-match press conference.
Haris Rauf's provocative gestures were slammed heavily, but Agha doesn't want to stop the pacers and revealed that aggression is a part of this sport.
The hype around the India vs Pakistan match has transformed this sport. Agha revealed that the handshake shouldn't have happened.
“I started playing U-16 in 2007. I never saw any teams not shaking hands. Even when Indo-Pak relations were worse, we still shook hands," he added.
“My father is a huge fan of cricket. He also never told me anything about two teams playing a match but not shaking hands," he said.
Despite all this, Agha's mantra is simple-he can ignore the uncontrollables and just try to help the team clinch the title.
“We can’t control what’s happening outside. We can control the controllables. And that is winning the Asia Cup," he concluded.
