India vs Pakistan, Asia Cup News: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is preparing to take strong action against Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi at the ongoing International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting in Dubai after he refused to hand over the Asia Cup trophy to the winning Indian team.
The refusal to hand over the trophy to the Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, despite their title victory, has sparked tensions between the two cricket boards.
The ICC is awaiting confirmation, and a list of charges has been prepared by the BCCI, with many reports suggesting domestic political pressures as the reason for his potential non-attendance.

As per a report by Telecom Asia Sport, the Indian board will argue that Naqvi's dual roles are inconsistent, putting his destiny as PCB President in jeopardy.
“Afghanistan will support India’s stance, demanding Naqvi relinquish one of his posts. But Naqvi is unlikely to back down," a source told Telecom Asia Sport.
According to a PTI report, Naqvi's possible absence from the ICC meeting has been raised, with reports indicating he may opt out of attending. In his place, PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Syed is expected to represent the board.
Following India's victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup final on September 28, the Indian team rebuffed Mohsin Naqvi, declining to accept the trophy from him.
Streaching the controversy, Naqvi chose to keep possession of the Asia Cup trophy, rather than charge its presentation to a representative.
Despite BCCI's repeated pleas to hand it over to the triumphant Indian team, Naqvi remained persistent, insisting that the Indian team receive the coveted prize directly from him.
