After many heartbreaks and near misses, India on Sunday raised a toast to the women's cricket team after its historic World Cup victory.

The evening was made even more special by the presence of two Indian cricket legends, Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami, who had come agonizingly close to World Cup glory in 2005 and 2017. Their decades-long dedication to get their hands on the coveted trophy finally came on November 2, but they weren't part of the playing squad.
In a heartfelt gesture, Harmanpreet gathered her teammates and handed the trophy to Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami. The former captain expressed her gratitude for the sincere gesture, mouthing, 'Thank You.'
