IND-W vs AUS-W: The Women in Blue will be donning a special all-pink jersey on Saturday as they will lock horns with Australia for the third and last ODI in New Delhi. The main aim of this move is to promote awareness about breast cancer, and that has been added as a social significance aspect in a high-octane match.
The BCCI revealed the same about this initiative on their official social media accounts, where skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, Pratika Rawal, and Sneh Rana were seen wearing this pink jersey.
“#TeamIndia will be wearing special pink-coloured jerseys in the Third ODI today to promote Breast Cancer Awareness,” the caption of this post read.

It's not the first time that the sport of cricket has been played with a social cause. The Proteas have been promoting the Pink Day tradition in Johannesburg, whereas in the IPL, teams like GT and DC have also worn special jerseys in order to spread awareness about cancer.
INDIA EYE HISTORIC SERIES-WIN
Saturday's match does have a lot of importance. Since the series is leveled at 1-1, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side is on the verge of winning their first bilateral series against Australia, and this is one milestone that they have never achieved in the 50-over format. This is also the last time that both these teams will be seen in action before the highly anticipated Women's ODI World Cup, which will begin later this month.
There have been positives from this series from the host, especially with the fast bowlers and the top three batters, but the form of the middle-order batters is quite concerning, as they haven't really lived up to the expectations till now. A brilliant performance against the Australian bowlers can boost the confidence of the Women in Blue ahead of the mega event.
At the same time, the Alyssa Healy-led side will try to maintain their dominance considering the experienced players they have on its side. Since they are the reigning champions, they will try to end this series on a high note and stop the host from winning the historic series in their backyard.
Since everything is at stake in this series in the 3rd ODI in Delhi, it promises to be a nail-biting thriller. For the host, this pink jersey is not just about solidarity but also a way to promote a greater cause and a way to script history before the World Cup.
