IND-W Vs SL-W: Captain's Thoughts

Chamari Athapaththu: We are going to bowl first. I am pretty confident about my bowling attack. It's a good track, but if we can put our plans in place at the right time. The dew could be a factor as well. We have 2 off-spinners, 2 left-arm spinners, and a seamer. We are going with 7 batters. We had good preparation playing with the boys' teams and domestic tournaments as well, under the lights. Next 5 games we play in Sri Lanka in front of our home crowd, which will be a great opportunity."

Harmanpreet Kaur: "We were looking to bowl first. But the first game is always important, and we are taking this as a good opportunity. It is looking good. Hopefully, we put a good total on the board. Everyone is fit. We are going with three spinners and two pacers. She's always been great for us. Last couple of series, she has been brilliant. Hopefully, she will continue in the World Cup. We just want to play good cricket. That's what we have been doing for the last few years now. That's what we want to do."
