Hong Kong Sixes 2025: India witnessed a horrible day in the ongoing Hong Kong Sixes 2025 tournament as they suffered their third successive defeat, losing against Nepal by 92 runs. They were bowled out for 45 runs in just three overs while chasing the 138-run target.
They have been eliminated from the main competition, having also lost their matches against Kuwait and the UAE earlier in the day. After a victory against Pakistan in the rain-hit first match on Friday, the fans were hoping for a better outcome, but the Indian team has largely disappointed on the 2nd day of the competition.
India kicked off the action against Kuwait. They restricted Kuwait to 106/5 in their 6 overs after opting to bowl first. Yasin Patel was Kuwait's top run-getter, having smashed an unbeaten 58 runs in 14 balls with the help of two boundaries and eight sixes. India were bowled out for 79 runs in just 5.4 overs.

In their second match of the day against the UAE, India were put into bat first and posted a total of 107/3 in their 6 overs on the back of a fiery knock of 50 runs from Abhimanyu Mithun in just 16 balls. He smashed four boundaries and five sixes. On the other hand, skipper Dinesh Karthik made an incredible contribution of 42 runs in just 14 deliveries, hitting four boundaries and as many sixes.

UAE produced an impressive batting effort and chased down the target in 5.5 overs. UAE skipper Khalid Shah was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his 50-run knock in 14 balls with the help of four boundaries and five sixes.
The final match of the day saw India's disappointing bowling performance as Nepal posted a massive total of 137/0 in their six overs. They were outclassed by Nepal's bowling as well and were bowled out for just 45 runs in three overs. The Dinesh Karthik-led side will be up against Sri Lanka in their next match on Sunday at the Mong Kok, Mission Road Ground. The match will start at 8:30 AM IST.
