New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: The Indian Premier League has released a list of 332 players for the Vivo IPL 2020 Auction list who are set to go under hammer in Kolkata on December 19. A total of 997 players were registered initially, but the final list from eight franchises saw names of 665 cricketers shrug off. The lowest bid starts at Rs 20 lakh while the highest base price will start at Rs 2 crore.
There are a total of 186 Indian, 143 overseas and three players of associated nations, who will be up for grabs in the IPL auction. In the 2 crore category, there are seven overseas cricketers-- Angelo Mathews, Dale Steyn, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh, Chris Lynn, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins.
In 1.5 crore base price category there is only one Indian player-- Robin Uthappa while Piyush Chawla, Yusuf Pathan and Jaydev Unadkat have set their base price at Rs 1 crore. Among overseas players, Jason Roy, Eoin Morgan, Robin Uthappa, Chris Morris, Chris Woakes, Adam Zampa, Shaun Marsh, David Willey, Kane Richardson and Kyle Abbott are under Rs 1.5 crore bracket.
A total of 35 players from Australia, 23 from South Africa, 22 from England, 19 from West Indies and 18 from New Zealand have been shortlisted. Of the test playing nations, Sri Lanka (14), Afghanistan (7) and Bangladesh (5) have found low interest while no players from Zimbabwe will be part of the auction.
Apart from players from the top 10 ranked teams, USA and UAE pacers Ali Khan and Zahoor Khan have been included in Rs 20 lakh bracket. Scotland batsman Heorge Munsey also features in the list with same base price.
Among uncapped players, Deepak Hooda and six uncapped overseas players, including Cameron Delport, James Fuller and Ben Dwarshuish, among others have set their base price of Rs 40 lakh. The list also features Under-19 cricketers such as Ravi Bishnoi, Kartik Tyagi, Sushant Mishra, Priyam Garg, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and others in Rs 20 lakh category.
