IPL 2024: India's star opener, Shubman Gill, is gearing up for a new challenge as he steps into the role of captaincy for the Gujarat Titans in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The 2022 IPL champions, Gujarat Titans, underwent a change in leadership with the departure of their captain for the past two seasons, Hardik Pandya, who was traded back to the Mumbai Indians. Gill, now at the helm of the Titans, embarks on his maiden journey as the captain of an IPL side.

"We all know captainship comes with a lot of things, and commitment is one of them. Discipline is one of them. Hard work is one of them. Loyalty is one of them," Gill said in a video shared by the franchise on social media.
