IPL 2025 Kolkata matches schedule: Reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns with RCB during their tournament opener on March 22 in their backyard. They had won their third title last season, where they had defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad during the summit clash.

After IPL 2024, the Kolkata-based franchise underwent a lot of changes, which also included having a new skipper and mentor. Shreyas Iyer, under whose captaincy they won their third IPL title last year, was bought by Punjab Kings, whereas Gautam Gambhir became the Indian men's cricket team head coach.

Ahead of the upcoming season, Dwayne Bravo would be their new mentor whereas Ajinkya Rahane will be leading the team from the front. Explosive opener Phil Salt and star pacer Mitchell Starc were brought by RCB and Delhi Capitals during the mega auction last year.

But the Ajinkya Rahane-led side also received a huge blow as star fast bowler Umran Malik has been ruled out from the upcoming season owing to an injury. The franchise has named Chetan Sakariya as his replacement.

KKR has released the tickets for the tournament opener against RCB, which will be held at Eden Gardens.
