IPL 2026 Auction, All Teams Purse Remaining: The IPL 2026 auction is all set to be in the major focus in the coming few days, and it is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16, with all 10 franchises aiming to bolster their respective squads for the new season.

This will be the third successive year that the IPL auction will be conducted away from India. The date and venue for the upcoming auction were revealed after the IPL 2026 player retention window closed a few days ago. A total of 1355 cricket players - including 1,062 Indians and 293 overseas players - have already registered for the upcoming mini auction.

With the teams retaining 173 players collectively, there will be a total of 77 slots, including 31 overseas ones. Some big names will be missing from the upcoming IPL auction as they opted not to register after getting released from their respective franchises. Teams will be allowed to build a squad of up to 25 players as they have a combined purse of Rs 237.55 crore to spend in the auction.

Heading into the auction, the three-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders boast the largest remaining purse at Rs 64.3 crore, with room for 13 new additions, including six overseas players.
