The Rajat Patidar-led side, reigning champions, asserted their dominance and claimed consecutive trophies after beating the Gujarat-based franchise by five wickets in the summit clash in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
The Shubman Gill-led side posted a below-par target of 155 runs, but RCB bowlers suffocated the hosts with precision.
Even after launching a few late boundaries, the GT batters stumbled to build robust partnerships, resulting in a below-par target.
The Rajat Patidar-led side chased down the target in just 18 overs. Virat Kohli spearheaded the batting attack by hammering an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls, ensuring no more wickets fell. He propelled the team to victory with two overs remaining, and RCB hoisted their second consecutive title.
This win catapulted their standing as one of the most dominant sides this year, while the Shubman Gill-led side settled as runners-up after their dream run.
