The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday formally recognized the illustrious careers of India all-rounder Suresh Raina and Australia batting great Matthew Hayden, inducting them into the franchise's inaugural Hall of Fame.

The announcement was made at the "Roar'26" fan event held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Raina, affectionately known as 'Chinna Thala', was an important part of the Chennai Super Kings franchise from its inception in 2008 until 2021. During his time with the franchise, he played a pivotal role in four IPL title-winning campaigns, namely 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021.

Raina further cemented his legacy as the franchise's leading run-scorer, amassing 5529 runs, including two centuries and 38 half-centuries. Matthew Hayden, meanwhile, was part of the Super Kings squad from 2008 to 2010, contributing to the team's early success during his tenure.

The 54-year-old Australian was an integral part of CSK's 2010 IPL-winning squad. He was the first Super Kings player to claim the Orange Cap award, winning it in 2009 with a remarkable 572 runs. During his tenure, Hayden accumulated 1117 runs for the Super Kings.

Several former CSK players, including Muttiah Muralitharan, Ambati Rayudu, Lakshmipathy Balaji, S Badrinath and Michael Hussey, were also present at the "Roar 26" event.

CSK, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, will kick off their IPL 2026 campaign against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on March 30.

CSK's early fixtures include a home match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 3, followed by a trip to Bengaluru to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 5. The team will then return to Chepauk to host Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 11.
