KKR vs SRH, IPL 2024 Final: After leading Kolkata Knight Riders to a title in IPL 2024, skipper Shreyas Iyer was left short of words but he mentioned that his side 'played like invincibles', beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final.
KKR ended the 10-year-long wait to get their hands on their third IPL title, that too in an emphatic fashion as they remained the most consistent side in the tournament and put up a dominating performance in the summit clash, winning it by eight wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
"Absolutely comprehensive. We played like invincibles throughout the season. There's so much to cherish right now. This is what we demanded from the team and every individual," Shreyas said during the post-match presentation.

"They stood up to the right occasion and the feeling is hard to express. It is pleasing, the performance has been flawless throughout. I am running out of words right now," he added.
Iyer headed into the IPL 2024 on the back of injury concerns and a dip in form with the bat but made it count with his commendable leadership qualities.
He will not have to wait for a while to return to cricketing action as he is not a part of India's T20 World Cup Squad, with the tournament kicking off in less than a week's time.
While the Men in Blue will take a shot at the ICC trophy in the West Indies and the USA, Shreyas hoped to keep in touch with the game.
"All we demanded from ourselves was to back each other whatever the situation is. Looking forward to play more competitive cricket," he said.
The 29-year-old played his part in the title win with 351 runs to his name in 14 matches, hitting two crucial half-centuries but gave a shoutout to the contribution of other players including their most expensive buy Mitchell Starc.
"That's when all the big players stand up, right? It was a high-pressure game and he's been so good off the field. He's never shown any complacency in his work ethic. He stepped up to the right occasion," he noted.

Shreyas also lauded the other notable performer Andre Russell who picked up three wickets for just 19 runs, helping KKR to bowl SRH out for just 113.
"He's got that magic wand. He's looking forward to picking wickets. All the guys stepped up at the right time and that's made it easier. It has been a flawless season."
KKR took just 10.3 overs to chase down the 114-run target with Venkatesh Iyer (52* off 26 balls) smashing a fiery half-century whereas Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 39 runs in 32 balls.
