ZIM vs NZ Test: New Zealand pacer Matt Henry was at his imperious best to scalp nine wickets in the 1st test to help New Zealand achieve a dominant win by 10 wickets in Bulawayo on Friday. This fifer also included a six-wicket haul in the first innings, which was too much to take for the hosts.
New Zealand, in the two-match series, are 1-0 up.
In the first innings, Zimbabwe batted first as they faced an exhibition of fast bowling from Nathan Smith (3/20) and Henry (6/39), which bundled them out for 149 in 60.3 overs. Zimbabwe skipper Craig Ervine did some damage control along with Tafadzwa Tsiga (30 in 78 balls, with five fours); however, the resistance ended soon.

Even Blackcaps suffered a collapse in the first innings after a handsome opening stand of 92 runs structured by Will Young and Devon Conway. Conway, followed it up with another 66-run stand with Henry Nicholls (34 in 56 balls, with six fours). Following this, Blessing Muzarabani (3/73) and Tanaka Chivanga (2/51) helped Zimbabwe make a comeback to reduce New Zealand to 200/6.
Conway, Mitchell To NZ's Rescue
Conway smashed 12 fours in his fighting knock of 88 in 170 balls. Other than Conway, Daryl Mitchell stood up with a brilliant 119-ball 80, with five fours and a six to take New Zealand to 307. NZ got an imposing lead by 158 runs.

In Zimbabwe's second innings, Henry (3/51) and Will'o Rourke (3/28) wreaked havoc with pace, while spinner Mitchell Santner (4/27) wiped out the lower order, skittling out Zimbabwe for 165 runs. They led by just seven runs, and NZ chasing the deficit was a mere formality.
Henry's nine-wicket haul earned him the 'Player of the Match' award.
