Former India cricketer MS Dhoni has been officially invited to attend the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The invitation was presented to Dhoni at his residence in Ranchi on January 15, as per reports. This follows legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli also receiving an invitation for the same ceremony a few days ago.

Dhananjay Singh, co-province secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), extended the invitation to Dhoni in the presence of Karmaveer Singh, the State Organization General Secretary of BJP. Preparations for the event are in full swing, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently visiting Ayodhya to oversee the progress. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lead the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, which will include the unveiling of the bronze statue of Jatayu and a visit to Kuber Navratna Tila within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Complex.

The Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is overseeing the arrangements for special guests invited to the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple. Guests, including MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar, are expected to receive special gifts, including 'Ram Raj.' On the day of the inauguration ceremony, special 'Motichoor Laddus' will be distributed as 'prasad' to the guests. Reports indicate that around 11,000 guests, including cricketers, international athletes such as Neeraj Chopra and PV Sindhu, and celebrities like Jackie Shroff, Rajnikanth, and Ranbir Kapoor, have received official invitations to attend the event.

MS Dhoni, currently on a break from cricket, is expected to prepare for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This season marks his last appearance in the tournament, and he will aim to defend the title after leading the Chennai Super Kings to victory in 2023.
