New Zealand vs England 1st ODI Live Streaming: New Zealand will lock horns with England for the 1st ODI at the Bay Oval on Sunday. Kane Williamson will be making a comeback to international cricket in this series. The ex-New Zealand skipper hasn't played for the Black Caps since the 2025 Champions Trophy earlier this year. He was also not given the central contract for the second consecutive time.
"I mean, it's just ongoing communication with New Zealand cricket, Rob (Walter, head coach), and I'm grateful for that. For me, it's a lot about the balance with family, etc, and time away, but also the delicate balance of being a part of this team that I've really loved and enjoyed for such a long period of time. So it's great to be back and amongst the one-dayers and we'll just keep sort of assessing what's next as we go," Williamson told reporters in the pre-match press conference.
Williamson might have returned to the ODI side, but they will be missing the services of Kyle Jamieson. He did play in two matches of the T20I series. He will be missing the ODI series owing to stiffness on his left side.
England had won the three-match T20I series 1-0. The visitors had scored 153 runs in the series opener. The host didn't bat as rain played a spoilsport. The Harry Brook-led side won the second match by 65 runs.
Just 3.4 overs were bowled in the 3rd match as rain washed out the match. Bay Oval on Sunday will experience clear weather, and the fans can expect a full 50-over game.
The three ODIs will be held on October 26, 29, and November 1 in Mount Maunganui, Hamilton, and Wellington.
