With a demotivating record at the death in T20Is, Arshdeep Singh found himself in a critical situation in the 5th T20I match against Australia in Bengaluru. After conceding 37 runs in his first three overs in the match, defending just 10 runs in the final over against the dangerous Matthew Wade seemed like a challenging task. However, Arshdeep Singh's successful defense secured a narrow six-run victory for India in the match.
Arshdeep's smashed final nail in the coffin after he removed Wade on the third ball of the over, who is known to finish games in the format. His match-winning on-slaught against Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi in the T20 World Cup 2021 semifinal is still fresh in the hearts and minds of cricket fans.

Other than Arshdeep, it was Shreyas Iyer's polished fifty and a commendable death overs performance by the inexperienced pacer Mukesh Kumar led India to a six-run victory over Australia. This result secured a comprehensive 4-1 series win for India. Iyer's contribution with the bat and the effective efforts in the death overs by the young pace bowlers played pivotal roles in India's success in the match and the series.
Brief scores: India 160/8 in 20 overs (Shreyas Iyer 53, Jitesh Sharma 24, Axar Patel 31; Jason Behrendorff 2/38, Ben Dwarshuis 2/30) beat Australia 154/8 in 20 overs (Ben McDermott 54; Mukesh Kumar 3/32, Ravi Bishnoi 2/29) by 6 runs.
