The Super Over, bowled by New Zealand's Amelia Kerr, saw Riaz making an impactful start with a boundary off the outside edge. Despite Kerr's efforts to restrict boundaries, Pakistan reached a competitive total of 11.

In response, Sophie Devine's aggressive play brought the equation down to four off the last two balls, but a crucial catch by Pakistan's fielder ended New Zealand's hopes, securing victory for Pakistan.

Earlier, New Zealand, opting to bat, recovered from early wickets, thanks to partnerships between Devine, Amelia Kerr, and Maddy Green. Kerr's impressive 77 and valuable contributions from other batters propelled New Zealand to a competitive total of 251.

Pakistan's chase began steadily, with opener Muneeba Ali departing early. However, Sidra Ameen and Bismah Maroof's aggressive play added momentum to the innings. Maroof top-scored with a 68 runs knock, and Aliya Riaz contributed a crucial 44.

Fatima Sana's enterprising knock of 36 runs and an important partnership of 31 runs between Natalia Pervaiz and Najiha Alvi kept Pakistan in the hunt. The Kerr sisters' efforts for New Zealand created tension, but Alvi's composed unbeaten innings of 23 ensured the game reached a thrilling Super Over.
