India Test Squad: India's star cricketer Pratika Rawal, a World Cup winner, left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma and seamer Kranti Gaud received their maiden Test call-ups for the one-off Test against Australia to be held at Perth from March 6 to 9.
"The Women's Selection Committee has picked India's squad for the Perth Test against Australia Women to be played after the white-ball series. The Test will take place at the WACA from 6th to 9th March, 2026," the Board of Control for Cricket in India said in an statement.
Rawal's impressive ODI performance, with 1110 runs from 24 matches, has earned her a spot in the 15-member squad led by Harmanpreet Kaur.
Harmanpreet will lead India's 15-member squad in the one-off Test against Australia in Perth (March 6-9), followed by a white-ball series featuring 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs starting February 15. However, the 25-year-old Rawal is not a part of India's white ball tour to Australia.
Vaishnavi Sharma, a standout performer at the U19 World Cup earlier this year, made her senior team debut in December's T20I series against Sri Lanka and now earned her maiden Test call-up against Australia.
Kranti Gaud, India's rising pacer, has turned heads with 23 wickets in 15 ODIs, showcasing her impressive skills in the 50-over format.
Satghare, who has played three ODIs against Ireland in January 2025, and her inclusion meant that seasoned Arundhati Reddy did not get a look in.
"Meanwhile, wicket-keeper G Kamalini is ruled out of India's Australia tour and the selectors have named Uma Chetry as her replacement in India's T20Is and ODI squads," the squad further read.
Young wicket-keeper G Kamalini's Australia tour have been dashed due to an injury. The selectors have swiftly named Uma Chetry as her replacement for India's T20I and ODI squads.
