JE Sports Desk: Rinku Singh's non-inclusion in India's T20I squad for the West Indies series sparked debate as other IPL performers inlcuding Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Verma were given maiden call-up for the shortest format.
Ajit Agarkar led men's selection committee backed Sanju Samson, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar as senior players including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Shami continue to be sidelined for the T20Is after India's semifinal exit from last year's T20 World Cup in Australia.
India are scheduled to play three T20Is against West Indies after the conclusion of two Tests and three ODIs.

As per the Indian Express report, Rinku Singh is expected to don India jersey for the three-match T20I series against Ireland in August. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter is among other youngsters to be considered for Ireland tour.
“Rinku and other players who did well in the IPL will fly to Ireland as the selection committee doesn’t want to try everyone at one stage. There are seven players of the Indian ODI team who are not going to play T20 as those players are key for us going ahead as they will be playing Asia Cup in late August,” Indian Express quoted a BCCI source as saying.
Agarkar-led committee roped in fresh faces in India's T20I setup as the team is preparing for next year's T20 World Cup in West Indies and the United States.
India senior players are expected to be rested before the high votage Asia Cup 2023. Ireland will host India for three T20Is in Dublin from August 18 to 23.
