India vs South Africa 2nd Test: India's stand-in captain Rishabh Pant expressed his anger with his players, especially with spinner Kuldeep Yadav, during the first session of the second Test against South Africa at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday.

On the second day of the Guwahati Test, Pant reminded Kuldeep that he had already been warned twice for breaching the 60-second rule and urged him to speed up between overs. As per the ICC playing conditions, the fielding side must begin a new over within 60 seconds of the previous one finishing. Umpires usually give two warnings, whereas a third breach results in a five-run penalty. These warnings reset after 80 overs.

Notably, the regulation was introduced to get rid of Test cricket’s long-standing and frustrating problem of slow over rates.

Here's how Pant lashed out at Kuldeep before he started his over:

Apart from Kuldeep, Pant was also not happy with Washington Sundar in the second session. The all-rounder drew the captain’s ire for delaying the start of his over.

Things didn't go India's way early in the second day as the incredible partnership between Senuran Muthusamy and Marco Jansen frustrated the bowlers in the first session. India didn't get any wickets in the morning session as the duo took the score past the 300-run mark. While Muthusamy remained solid in the middle and smashed his fifty, Verreynne was dismissed for 45 runs by Ravindra Jadeja in the second session.

Pant has been captaining the Indian team for the first time in Test cricket, having taken the leadership role for the Guwahati Test after regular skipper Shubman Gill was ruled out of the match due to a neck injury.

India are in desperate need of a win to level the two-match series as they are 0-1 down after losing the first Test in Kolkata by 30 runs.
