IPL 2025: Just a few days after helping India lift the ICC Champions Trophy title, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has flown to the Maldives for a family vacation. He also posted photos of a beachside resort in the Maldives on Holi.

Although a lot of cricketers did join the training camps of their respective IPL teams ahead of the upcoming season the others took a short break ahead of the two-month-long cash-rich league tournament. All-rounders like Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja did join their IPL teams but both Rohit and Virat haven't done the same yet.

Rohit seemed to have enjoyed the natural beauty of the resort and was seen having a good time with his family. He also posted a photo of his wife Ritika and daughter Samaira and wrote the caption as 'pure bliss'.

Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya had already joined the team and also attended the WPL 2025 eliminator between MI-W and GG-W at the Brabourne stadium.

Rohit will be joining the team next week. The Hardik Pandya-led side will start their campaign on March 23.

Rohit took a short break after a hectic 2024-25, where he led the team from the front in the longest format and the ODIs. He was also seen in action during the Ranji Trophy 2025 owing to his woeful batting performances during the five-match Test series against Australia.

Although his position in Tests has become debatable because of his disappointing performances in the last few months, he has set the record straight and reckoned that he isn't retiring from the sport anytime soon.

But he also hadn't thought too much about the future when he was enquired about whether he would be featuring in the 2027 ODI World Cup.

"Right now, I am taking things as they come. It wouldn’t be fair for me to think too far ahead. At this moment, my focus is on playing well and maintaining the right mindset. I don’t want to draw any lines and say whether I will or won’t play in the 2027 World Cup," Rohit was quoted as saying to Star Sports.

He will aim to perform brilliantly during the upcoming season and help the team bounce back since they finished in the last position in the points table in IPL 2024.
