Ahead of India's upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, star batter Sarfaraz Khan showered praise on skipper Rohit Sharma.

Sarfaraz made his Test debut earlier this year under Rohit's captaincy during the series against England.

The 26-year-old batter like many mentioned that Rohit is different from others and never treats anyone like a junior but behaves with them as an elder brother.

"He's very different, makes you comfortable and is like an elder brother to us. I enjoy playing with him. He never treats you like a junior. He's a positive guy. The way he speaks, it boosts your confidence," Sarfaraz said while speaking to JioCinema.

Sarfaraz went on to compare Rohit with the role played by Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in his movie Lagaan.

"Lagaan is my favourite movie. In that, the way Aamir Khan assembles his team, Rohit bhai reminds me of that. For me, he's Lagaan's Aamir Khan. It feels like he's part of your family," he added.

Rohit will be leading the Indian team in the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh and Sarfaraz was named in the squad for the first match scheduled to be played in Chennai from September 19.

Recently, young wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel also had a similar take about Rohit, saying that the veteran usually likes to sit with youngsters.

“He doesn’t sit with the seniors, he calls in the youngsters like me Sarfaraz or Jaiswal and asks us what’s going on and all. It’s fun if you ask me,” Jurel revealed in an interview uploaded on Jatin Sapru’s YouTube channel.

Talking about Sarfaraz, he has played three Test matches for India and has 200 runs to his name including a 62-run knock on his debut.
