RCB Retained Players for WPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bengaluru have announced the list of their retained players ahead of the WPL 2026 mega auction. Skipper Smriti Mandhana will continue her association with the franchise as they eye yet another impactful season to add to their trophy tally.

Apart from Mandhana, the 2024 WPL champions kept hold of Australian cricket legend, Ellyse Perry, who has not just been key to their success but is widely regarded as the greatest female cricketer of all time. Richa Ghosh, who recently lifted the Women's World Cup title with the Indian team, has also been retained.

Youngster Shreyanka Patil will also stay with the franchise despite missing the last season due to injury, having won the purple cap in their title win. Interestingly, the former champions have released the star pacer Renuka Singh, who has been part of their camp since the inaugural season. Snen Rana was also let go after making a positive impact in 2025, after coming in as an injury replacement for Shreyanka.

Notably, the BCCI have fixed the auction purse at Rs. 15 crore and set different price slabs for retentions – Rs. 3.5 crore for Player 1, Rs. 2.5 crore for Player 2, Rs. 1.75 crore for Player 3, and Rs. 1 crore for Player 4. In case of a fifth player retention, the price bracket was Rs. 50 lakh.

"If a franchise opts to retain five players, Rs. 9.25 crore would be deducted from its purse, while for four, the deduction would be Rs. 8.75 crore; for three, it would be Rs. 7.75 crore; for two, Rs. 6 crore; and for one, Rs. 3.5 crore," the release stated.
