IND vs WI 2nd Test: The BCCI on Tuesday revealed that star batter Sai Sudharsan, who had sustained an injury as he tried to take the catch on the second day, has stayed out of action on Day 3 as a precautionary measure. On the second ball of the eighth over, Ravindra Jadeja had bowled a peachy delivery to John Campbell, who had hit a perfect slog sweep. The ball went directly toward Sudharsan, who was standing at short leg, but he stopped the ball between his helmet, chest, and hands.
This stunning catch left everyone impressed, but Sudharsan sustained an impact injury, as has been revealed by BCCI.
“Sai Sudharsan had an impact injury on Day 2 while attempting a catch. He hasn’t taken the field today as a precautionary measure. The injury isn’t serious and he is doing fine," a statement by BCCI read.

“He (Sudharsan) continues to be monitored by the BCCI Medical Team," it further said.
Sudharsan said that he wanted to score big against the visitors, but he fell short of his well-deserved first Test ton on the first day.
Since he was under immense pressure to perform after failing to do so in the series opener. He scored a gritty knock of 87 runs, which was his highest score in this format.
He made his debut in this format against England this year, where Sudharsan smashed 61 runs in Manchester and is still eyeing his first century.
“I am definitely grateful for whatever I have done today (Friday), but there is always a monkey in our mind that wants more, wants that hundred, and so I was looking forward to a lot more," he concluded.
