Malik announced his third marriage on Saturday as he tied the knot with Pakistan's popular actor Sana Javed in Karachi, finally ending the speculations around his separation from Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.
The cricketer released his wedding photograph on social media platform X with his new wife, with the caption "And We created you in pairs".
There were strong rumours roaming around social media regarding the possible separation of Shoaib and Sania as they were rarely seen together in the last couple of years.
However, they continued to take a few steps to turn down all the speculations, but a few days back Shoaib unfollowed the Indian tennis star on Instagram.
The pair has a son Izaan who was born in 2018 and continues to live with Sania.
As per a report from PTI, Sania had initiated the divorce proceedings.
"It was a 'khula'. I do not wish to comment beyond this," said the source. Khula refers to the right of a Muslim woman to unilaterally divorce her husband.
Sania got married to Shoaib in Hyderabad in April 2010 and the couple used to live in Dubai.
