Smriti Mandhana's Wedding: Star India batter Smriti Mandhana's father, Srinivas, who was rushed to a hospital last week, has now been discharged. Her father was admitted to a hospital as he had suffered symptoms of a heart attack on the day of her wedding to Palash. Owing to her father's ill health, Smriti chose to postpone her wedding.
“Today in the morning, when Smriti’s father was having breakfast, his health deteriorated. We waited for a bit, thinking he would get a fine. But when it deteriorated further, we called for an ambulance and took him to the hospital, and he is under observation. Smriti is very close to her father. She has decided that the marriage will be indefinitely postponed until he gets well. Her father is under observation, and the doctor has said that he will have to stay in the hospital until he recovers. Smriti is clear; she wants to see her father well and then get married," Tuhin Mishra, who is Smriti's manager, told reporters on Sunday.
As per the latest report, Smriti's father is now 'out of danger' and has been discharged from the hospital. According to India TV, Smriti's dad is stable now, and his heart condition has also improved. As per the report, the doctors had to perform angiography on Srinivas, where no blockages were present.

Palash also hospitalised
Post a day after Smriti's father was hospitalised, Palash too was rushed to a hospital in Sangli. As per his mom, Amrita, Palash was hospitalised owing to 'crying' about the health scare faced by Smriti's dad.
The report said that Palash too was rushed to a hospital owing to sickness, but Amita revealed that Palash was quite close to Srinivas, and it was he who decided to postpone the wedding as he was stressed.
“Palash ko uncle se bahut zyada attachment hai… Smriti se zyada yeh dono close hain. Jab unko hogaya toh Smriti se phele Palash ne decision liya ke usko abhi phere nahi karne jab tak uncle thik nahi ho jaate (Palash is extremely attached to Smriti’s father… The two of them are even closer than Smriti is with him. When he fell ill, it was Palash, before Smriti, who decided that they should not go ahead with the wedding rituals until he got better," Amita was quoted to Hindustan Times.
