SRH vs RCB, IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli on Thursday scripted another massive record in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The right-handed batter completed 400 IPL runs in this edition to become first player to reach the landmark figure 10th time in the history of the tournament.

Kohli achieved the feat during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad. He played a knock of 51 runs off 43 balls to guide RCB to 206/7 in 20 overs.

Former RCB captain has surpassed Suresh Raina and David Warner, who accumulated 400 or more runs in nine IPL seasons.

Apart from the ongoing IPL 2024 season, Kohli also reached this milestone in the following years: 2023, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, 2013, and 2011. Kohli achieved an unprecedented feat in the 2016 season, scoring 973 runs at an average of 81.08, with four hundreds and seven fifties.

Over the course of his 246-match IPL career, Virat has amassed 7,693 runs at an average of 38.27, along with eight centuries and 53 fifties.

RCB batter is the highest run-getter in the edition and holds the Orane Cap. In nine matches, Kohli has accumulated 430 runs including three half-centuries and a hundred. He has amassed runs at an average of 61.43 and strike rate of 145.76.
