IND-W vs SL-W Women's ODI World Cup 2025: The 2025 ODI Women's World Cup had a flying start, where the hosts were seen struggling against Sri Lanka during the tournament opener. Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first and post a flying start, but the hosts' middle-order had a forgetful outing.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side were 120/1 after 20 overs, but after two overs, they were reeling at 124/6. Of the 4 batters who were dismissed, three wickets fell in one over of Inoka Ranaweera. This over became a game-changer, and Inoka Ranaweera showed why she is Sri Lanka's most consistent bowler.

She had also dismissed one of the in-form batters, Harleen Deol, and Harmanpreet Kaur, and then dismissed Jemimah Rodrigues. She had also taken Pratika Rawal's wicket and given the Indian batters a hard time.
