WPL 2026 Auction Big Players List: The WPL 2026 auction is all set to take place on November 25 in New Delhi, with all five teams allowed to build a squad of up to 18 players. A total of 277 players, including 194 Indian and 83 overseas, will be part of the first-ever mega auction.
Fresh from their historic ODI World Cup triumph, Indian players will be in high demand. While a total of 73 slots need to be filled, including 50 Indians and 23 overseas, Deepti Sharma, who was released by UP Warriorz soon after the World Cup final, is likely to fetch a good deal. UP Warriorz will enter the WPL 2026 auction with the most rebuilding to do, having retained just one player, the uncapped Shweta Sehrawat.
They will have the largest purse, along with four Right To Match (RTM) options available. Notably, Smriti Mandhana currently holds the tag of the most expensive player in WPL history after Royal Challengers Bengaluru shelled out INR 3.4 crore for the Indian batter at the WPL 2023 mega auction.

Having retired from international cricket in 2023, Aussie legend Meg Lanning has been in red-hot batting form in the WBBL, and that will be considered by multiple teams on the auction table. She was released by the Delhi Capitals despite taking the franchise to three successive finals. Meanwhile, four associate players, Theertha Satish and Esha Oza (both UAE), Tara Norris (USA) and Thipatcha Putthawong (Thailand) are also part of the auction list.
