WPL 2026 Mega Auction: All the WPL teams have been informed that opener Pratika Rawal, wicket-keeper batter Yastika Bhatia, and fast bowler VJ Joshitha are recovering from injuries, but their names are still part of the auction list. In the pre-auction briefing, the WPL teams were informed that these players won't necessarily be a part of their 15-member teams. If any team decides to buy, then they won't be able to replace them later.

At the same time, the WPL revealed that star fast bowler Pooja Vastrakar is still trying to regain full fitness but is still a part of the auction pool. On the other hand, Kashvee Gautam has regained her full fitness.

Jess Jonassen Pulls Out

Australia's Jess Jonassen has pulled out of the auction as she has picked up an injury. She has been one of the star performers in this tournament as she has won five Player of the Match awards and is just behind Harmanpreet Kaur. It should be noted here that she has been struggling with a shoulder issue and has decided to work on her recovery.

At the same time, the marquee set of the auction will consist of players like Alyssa Healy, Meg Lanning, Amelia Kerr, and Laura Wolvaardt. Star Indian players like Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh are also part of this list, as it will make the bidding war a high-profile event.

276 players, of which 194 are Indians, and 82 are overseas players, will be up for grabs at the mega auction. The five teams will try to fill 73 slots, which consist of 50 Indians and 23 overseas players. The size of a team should be a minimum of 15 players to 18 players.

Four associate players-Theertha Satish and Esha Oza from the UAE, Tara Norris from the USA, and Thipatcha Putthawong from Thailand are also part of the auction list.
