RCB vs MI, WPL 2026: Nat Sciver-Brunt’s historic hundred breathed life into Mumbai Indians' (MI) playoff aspirations with a resounding victory, unleashing their 'A' game to outplay Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 crunch encounter at the BCA Stadium, Kotambi in Vadodara on Monday.
Chasing mammoth 200-run total, Richa Ghosh's valiant struggle fell short as the Mumbai Indians secured a 15-run win. Ghosh smashed 90 off 50 balls, freeing a counter-attack after Nadine de Klerk's steady 28 had stabilised RCB's innings. Amelia Kerr sealed the deal, dismissing Ghosh on the final ball.

MI's early breakthroughs, which had RCB reeling at 35/5 in the powerplay, were abolished by Richa Ghosh's incendiary 90 off 50 balls, featuring 10 fours and six sixes, as RCB posted 184/9
RCB's late wave saw them manage 43 runs in the last two overs, with Richa Ghosh whipping three consecutive sixes off Amanjot Kaur.
Hayley Matthews continued her impressive form, hitting with 56 runs and taking 3 crucial wickets, including Smriti Mandhana (6) and Georgia Voll (9) in the fourth over, followed by Radha Yadav (0).
Shabnim Ismail's sharp bowling and fielding added to RCB's speed, as she bagged Gautami Naik (1) and grabbed a catch in the deep to assist Hayley Matthews in dismissing Radha Yadav.

Mumbai Indians (MI) leapfrogged to second place with six points from seven matches, bolstered by a better Net Run Rate than Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Giants (GG).
Earlier, Nat Sciver-Brunt's historic century (100 not out) propelled Mumbai Indians to 199/4, with her 57-ball ton and Hayley Matthews' 56 laying the base for a commanding total. Matthews and Sciver-Brunt's explosive partnership yielded 131 runs off 73 balls.
