Delhi Airport Flight Status: Flight operations at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport are likely to be affected as a blanket of dense fog enveloped the national capital today, December 31. Several airlines, such as IndiGo, Spice Jet, and Air India, have issued travel advisories, warning passengers about possible flight delays and disruptions. The Delhi Airport has advised passengers to check the flight schedules with their respective airlines to avoid inconvenience.
Adding to the woes, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for moderate to dense fog on New Year’s Eve, with light rain or drizzle likely on New Year’s Day. Visuals shared by news agency ANI showed visibility dropping to just a few metres on Wednesday morning, making it extremely difficult to see anything.

Delhi Airport Warns Of Flight Delays, Issues Travel Advisory
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport issued a travel advisory on Wednesday, warning of expected delays and cancellations due to dense fog. Travellers have been advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest flight updates.

“Due to prevailing dense fog conditions, flight operations are currently being conducted under CAT III protocols, which may result in delays or cancellations. Our ground teams are on-site and actively assisting passengers to ensure a smooth travel experience. For the latest flight updates, please reach out to your respective airlines. We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused,” the Delhi Airport advisory read.
IndiGo, Air India And Spice Jet Issue Travel Advisory
As dense fog continues to disrupt flight operations at Delhi Airport, several airlines, including IndiGo, Air India and Spice Jet, have issued travel advisories, urging passengers to check their flight status before heading towards the airport.
India’s largest airline, IndiGo, has warned that flight departures and arrivals could be affected throughout the day due to poor visibility in Delhi and other northern airports.

Air India also issued an advisory anticipating disruptions to flight schedules and potential cascading delays across its network due to dense fog. “In the event of unexpected delays, diversions, or cancellations, our airport teams will be available to assist and support passengers,” the airline said.
