Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday announced the renaming of three metro stations to better reflect local identity and improve passenger convenience. Speaking at a programme in Haiderpur village held to welcome the Rezang La Shaheed Pavitra Raj Kalash Yatra, the Chief Minister said the changes would help commuters easily identify nearby areas.

Under the new names, Pitampura Metro Station will now be known as Madhuban Chowk, the under-construction Prashant Vihar station has been renamed North Pitampura/Prashant Vihar, and Haiderpur Badli Mor will now be called Haiderpur Village.
