MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Saturday announced that Rs 10 crore will be allocated for the development of Tughlakabad, Delhi. The announcement was made during the inauguration of a registration camp for solar power connections under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (free electricity scheme), organised by BSES at the Shiv Mandir Barat Ghar.

At the camp, residents registered for solar power connections under the scheme, which provides a subsidy of Rs 1,08,000 for a 3-kilowatt connection, as stated by BSES CEO Abhishek Ranjan. MP Bidhuri added that the funds for development will come from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Delhi Jal Board, and the Chief Minister’s Development Fund.

Officials from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Delhi Jal Board, and the Delhi government were present and addressed local issues on the spot. Among the dignitaries attending the event were Central Zone DC Shashwat Saurabh, SDM, Additional Chief Engineer of Delhi Jal Board, BJP District President Maya Bisht, nominated councillor Rohtas Kumar Advocate, District Vice President Amit Bidhuri, and Mandal President Anil Bidhuri.

The initiative aims to boost village infrastructure and promote renewable energy use in Tughlakabad, benefiting residents through improved development and solar electricity connections.
