With the festive season approaching, the Delhi Police on Saturday conducted a citywide public outreach campaign under its “Eyes and Ears” scheme to enhance security and encourage citizen vigilance. The initiative was organised by the public relations branch of the police headquarters in collaboration with district police units across all 15 districts.
The campaign aimed to involve citizens in security arrangements and raise awareness about the importance of immediately reporting any suspicious person, object, or activity to the authorities. Major markets and shopping plazas, which attract large crowds during festivities, were selected as venues, with participation from shoppers, Residents’ Welfare Associations (RWAs), and Market Welfare Associations (MWAs).
Large crowds gathered from the morning, engaging in activities such as viewing short films on large screens, receiving informational materials, and observing educational posters and standees. Security messages were also broadcast via the Delhi Police public relations vehicle. Officials addressed the gatherings, highlighting the importance of vigilance and demonstrating police working methods to the public.
