Delhi Air Pollution Today: Delhi’s air quality deteriorated further on Sunday, with the AQI soaring to 430 around 7 am, pushing the city into the “Severe” category, CPCB data showed. Several areas emerged as pollution hotspots, with Wazirpur recording an AQI above 450 and Bawana reaching 435. Among 39 monitoring stations, 14 reported readings above 400. By 7:15 am, Jahangirpuri registered an alarming AQI of 438, while Anand Vihar (427) and Ashok Vihar (421) also reported hazardous levels.
Amid the pollution spike, the region continues to operate under Stage 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). Under CAQM guidelines for this stage, private offices must limit on-site attendance to 50 percent, with the remaining staff working remotely.
Delhi-NCR AQI Today
Ghaziabad’s air quality remained in the ‘severe’ category with multiple locations crossing the 400 mark, including Loni at 450 and Sanjay Nagar at 417, while Indirapuram stood at 394. Noida also saw extremely poor conditions, with Sector 125 recording an AQI of 429, Sector 1 at 394 and Sector 62 at 340. In Gurugram, air quality hovered in the ‘very poor’ range, with NISE Gwal Pahari at 316, Sector 51 at 317, Teri Gram at 216 and Vikas Sadan at 272. Faridabad reported comparatively lower but still concerning levels, with Sector 30 at 224, New Industrial Town at 293 and Sector 11 at 199.
Area-Wise AQI In Delhi Today
Several parts of Delhi continued to report alarming pollution levels, with ITO recording an AQI of 384 and the AIIMS–Safdarjung Hospital area at 396, both falling under the ‘Very Poor’ category. Multiple locations slipped into the ‘Severe’ zone, including Anand Vihar and Akshardham Temple at 429, Ashok Vihar at 412, Bawana at 427, DTU and Mundka at 407 each, Jahangirpuri at 428, Narela at 410, Nehru Nagar at 403, Rohini at 425, and Vivek Vihar at 439. Wazirpur remained the most polluted among them all, recording an AQI of 448.

Delhi Weather
The IMD reported that Saturday’s minimum temperature settled at 11.8 Degree Celsius, about 0.5 Degree Celsius above normal, while the maximum temperature reached 27.3 Degree Celsius, 0.6 Degree Celsius above normal. Humidity levels fluctuated between 100 and 41 percent. For Sunday, the department has forecast moderate fog, with temperatures expected to hover around 26 Degree Celsius during the day and 11 Degree Celsius at night. The sky is likely to remain clear and sunny through the day.
According to the Decision Support System (DSS) at IITM Pune, vehicle emissions accounted for 14.9 percent of Delhi’s pollution on Saturday, while stubble burning contributed 2.8 percent. For Sunday, these contributions are estimated to rise to 19.1 percent from vehicles and slightly decrease to 2.6 percent from farm fires. Satellite data recorded 30 stubble-burning incidents in Punjab, 11 in Haryana, and 250 in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.
